Alex Rissmiller

Founder & Managing Attorney

Alex Rissmiller

Alex is a relentless advocate for employees across New York and New Jersey. He represents clients facing wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, or wage theft, and has recovered millions of dollars on their behalf. Alex has a proven track record of taking cases to trial and winning, including securing a seven-figure jury verdict in federal court for a wrongfully terminated client.

Before founding Rissmiller PLLC, Alex spent years defending corporations in high-stakes employment lawsuits. This background provides him with firsthand insight into the strategies and tactics employers use to fight claims. Alex draws on this insider perspective to anticipate the defense’s moves, build the strongest possible case, and negotiate from a position of strength.

In every case, Alex develops a tailored strategy to achieve the best possible outcome for his clients, whether through an early, favorable settlement or a verdict at trial. While he has achieved significant courtroom victories, he is equally adept at navigating private arbitration. He routinely handles high-stakes disputes before the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and JAMS, ensuring his clients receive vigorous and effective representation even when a jury trial is not an option.

Alex earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he served on the Journal of Law & Liberty. He also earned his B.A. magna cum laude from University of Pittsburgh. He is an active member of the New York City Bar Association and the National Employment Lawyers Association. Since 2022, he has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for employment litigation, an honor limited to 2.5% of lawyers in New York.
