Matthew Madzelan
Matthew is a dedicated advocate for employees facing discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and wage theft. With over a decade of experience, he has built a powerful track record of holding corporations accountable. Notably, Matthew has fought to obtain millions in settlements for employees who were the victims of discrimination and deprived of lawfully required wages. He has also played pivotal roles in major class and collective actions, including helping to secure a landmark settlement of $11 million for workers.
Before joining Rissmiller PLLC, Matthew honed his legal skills at top New York employment firms, representing and advising both employees and corporate employers. Today, this background serves as one of his clients’ greatest assets. Because he knows how companies assess risk, value claims, and strategize their defenses, Matthew is uniquely equipped to dismantle their arguments and secure the justice his clients deserve.
Matthew earned his J.D. from Hofstra University Law School and his B.A. in Political Science from Stony Brook University. He is passionate about making a tangible difference in the fight against workplace injustice, standing by his clients at every step of the legal process.
